After years of making jewelry for various brands, Soleil decided to create a line of jewelry that was not only high quality, but also meaningful and sustainable. After searching for artisans in remote regions of the world, she founded Daily Bread Jewelry and began to create individual pieces of beautiful jewelry.
The artisans that create the Daily Bread Jewelry collection come from additional countries, including Bali, India, and Thailand. All of the artisans are carefully selected based on their commitment to craftsmanship and fair-trade practices. Fair-trade means that the artisans not only receive fair wages, but also the flexibility to create the work they are passionate about. This commitment to fair-trade allows the artisans to work with integrity and respect for the environment, leading to high-quality, organic jewelry.
The materials used to make the Daily Bread Jewelry collection include traditional metals such as sterling silver and brass as well as exotic stones like turquoise and jade. These materials are gathered from all around the world and come from countries such as India, Ethiopia, and Guatemala. In order to provide the highest level of quality, metals are melted and identified by their specific origin and composition.
The creative process for the Daily Bread Jewelry collection is a labor of love. Designers handpick semi-precious stones, create sketches, and craft each piece to perfection. Stones are placed in frames, cleaned, and set in wax. Gold and silver pieces are soldered, buffed, and polished.
